Mounting pedals question - My Bugeye

I am mounting my pedals onto the bolt that goes through the pedal box. Is there some type of nylon washer or something that goes between the brake and clutch pedal as you slide them onto the bolt? Or do they just slide right up next to each other? I can't find a picture of this anywhere. Thanks, Jim

Thanks. I thought it needed something. Jim

Yep is an extra thick washer, maybe as thick as three washers.

Michael,
Where do you get your pedal bushings? I have a new set of pedals and I need some new ones.
Thanks, Rut

Rut-

If you only need the bushings I think Todd Clark has oilite bushings at Clark Spares and Restoration, for only a few dollars each. CSR's number is 215-348-0595, and his web address is www.clarkspares.com. He provides replacement engine and vin id plates- I needed one for my 948 after a rebuild many years ago. I just ordered a clip kit from him as well.

I wanted a new pedal pin also, so I ordered a kit from Colin at www.SpriteParts.com.au. Much more costly at $32 US plus $13 shipping. He also has a roller clutch release bearing that he makes and advertises on Ebay.

If you want to check the diameter of your pin against the one he provided the new pin is 0.43 inches. My old pin is actually a couple of thousandths larger, but that could be the grease layer...

Hope that helps.

Michael

Michael,
Thanks for the information, I'll give Clark a call. I think I'me ok on the pins and hardware.
Thanks, Rut
