Thanks alot for this post. I have a huge issue with the springs under my B GT (i purchased a set from Moss Motors in '98 and they still are jacked up 2" to high) the ass end jacks horribly, and it skitters under hard turn in and braking.

I just didn't know how many leaves to take out. The rear end needs to come down about 2" though so between this and some weight jacking plates i should be perfect.

Band clamps are NOT a good answer to this on a street car... Same effect MAY be possible with some stout 14 guage strapping as a substitute, but no "real life" experience to back that up... Plenty to say the band clamps won't last. And a good "first step" may be to go to urethane bushings and pads ahead of modifying the springs themselves... Just my opinion, so a grain of salt, please.

I think even JB would have a difficult time catching up to him if he keeps having "slow weeks" at work....

Well, for those of us still "above ground" - I'd rather be reading his posts than the alternative!

Work, what work, oh wait, I'm retired. Real work is just getting up in the morning. Not really, love the mornings, afternoons great for naps.

Yea hear that, wife already talking about second one. Fourty seven years and she is still hard to figure. Think she likes me busy and productive even if it is for fun.

Well, jeez, I can't type when I'm on the way home from work at 9:30pm, and get here and my wife's on the computer! (lookin to fix that last part soon with a new laptop though - hehehehe) I had 2 computers, but lightning got the older one last year.

I always kinda figured "theAutoist" was like running a business. Not to mention yer parts sales. I'd like to "retire" like that now.
