Here's what I've built for the GRM car...I'm trying to build back pressure to help with low end torque. Only a few practice runs will tell. That's the reason the crossover pipe is sectioned...I can do some trials with it blocked off & some with it open to see if it actually does anything.
The system starts out as 2" aluminized pipe and almost immediately after the headers becomes 2-1/2" to fit the Flowmaster single chamber mufflers. And from the mufflers rearward, it continues as 2-1/2" pipe to the tips that turn out right in front of the rear wheels.
The unique thing I did with the exhaust system is the cross-over pipe. If you notice, it comes out right where the exhaust fits to the header collector and runs around towards the front of the car. Its actually under the oil pan and behind the suspension beam. I'm hoping it fills quickly and creates a back pressure that'll help me with low end torque.
