Make sure you check your new license closely when its issued..mine came in mail back in March...I put it in my pocket....today I was at the Triumph dealership & wanted to test drive a new bike I'm interested in...nope, couldn't...my drivers license didn't have the "M" addendum.....seems like when Alabama went from the old style to new style license, my "M" somehow got lost...now I have to take a stupid 25-question written exam to get it back even though the license office could see on the computer that it was there on my old license!
 
Similar story some years ago when moving to Mississippi for a few years. They did not issue m/c endorsements, and upon return to Louisiana, had to start over even though they could see what happened.
But the big question is, what are you looking at?
 
Thunderbird Sport...but it'll have to wait until I take my test, get licensed, etc...funny thing with me also - they could see what happened also & admitted state had goofed...

I'm quite envious, and feel sure you'll be happy. Am about to take my Bonneville on a ride from Dallas to Burlington, Vermont. Should be great fun.
 
I thought that I'd have to take the riding course,& test to get my license.
Turns out that I've still got the motorcycle endorsement on my driver's license,even though I haven't renewed it in
over 20+ years.
Sometimes the State of California amazes even me!

Tony I have M and B on mine and it is always a pita to renew.
 
Here in Utah they are pretty good about keeping the endorsements on, as long as you don't let your license lapse at all. They managed to keep mine when they switched to the new style licenses, but I did check when it came out to make sure it was still there.

Unfortunately mine now also has the "B" for blind on it--first time I couldn't pass the eye test without my glasses. Bummer.

Hope you like that Triumph. I was sorely tested by a new Bonnie when I bought my Suzuki last month. If I could afford 2 bikes, I'd have one in the garage as well.
 
Funny thing is that I've got to take a written test for my "M" even though I've always had it until the state screwed up but am grandfathered for a "B" which I've never had in Alabama!
