TR2/3/3A Motor Oil

I have been using Collectors Choice Motor Oil for many years. I use 10w40 in winter and 20w50 in summer. Moss no longer carries nnything but 20w50.

Does anyone know of a non-synthetic oil 10w40 with zinc in it?

There's always the ZDDPlus additive. I keep some around and use it occasionally when I can't get oil with the zinc.

Valvoline VR1. Racing oil 20w50.
Has a high zinc content. Have used it for years with my race-prepped engines for break in.
Presently have it in my 4A

VR1 is also available in 10W30.

The owner's manual calls for 20W down to 10F ... You must really be a masochist to be driving a TR3B below 10F!

Several years ago I took my TR6 out in below zero weather and drove around a couple blocks with the top down just to be able to say I did it. :crazy:
Once was enough though.
