Hello, I own a 1975 Panther that has a JAGUAR 4.2 engine, I have to do the engine maintenance, but I can't find the engine reference to buy the parts, can someone tell me where is the reference on the engine. Thank you for your help

Good evening, thank you for your link, but I don't know which Jaguar my engine fits on. I think it's an XK 4.2.

I changed the spark plugs, the ignition head, and yet it’s going bad in slow motion, what can it be?
Thank's and good day's

'Going bad' is a big vague. Can you describe the problem?

Also, if you provide the engine number that may better identify what you have. It may be stamped on the top of the boss where the oil filter head mounts.

Look up parts for a 1974-75 XJ6 and compare with what you have. Unless they used junk yard motors, then they might be older. Fuel injection started late 73.

Hello, thank you for your help, I found all the parts and re-ignition, but the engine 8L-547xx-S runs badly as if a cylinder is missing occasionally.

The Deville and J72. both had jaguar running gear, The Deville would have been a jaguar V8 or V12, They would have been sorced direct from Jaguar, The J.72 was an ultra-exclusive luxury roadster, the first production vehicle of the Panther Westwinds company.[1] Styled to evoke the Jaguar SS100 and sold from 1972 through 1981, it used mechanicals from the Jaguar XJ, including its 5.3 L V12 engine. It was also offered with Jaguar's 3.8 L and 4.2 L XK engines.[2]
You should be looking for parts to fit a 1972 + jaguar XJ

Merci beaucoup de vos renseignements, je cherche écrou central de roues Panther, si vous savez où, merci merci merci
