Your distributor will have identifying numbers in the casting. Again: Terry's has a listing for the different parts and which distributor they fit.

'Going bad' is a big vague. Can you describe the problem?

Also, if you provide the engine number that may better identify what you have. It may be stamped on the top of the boss where the oil filter head mounts.

Look up parts for a 1974-75 XJ6 and compare with what you have. Unless they used junk yard motors, then they might be older. Fuel injection started late 73.
