Moto Lita steering hub on non-adjustable column

I have a new wheel I would like to mount to a BN1 non-adjustable steering column. The moto lita hub to make it work says it is non-compatible with the stock control unit...

Does anyone have any experience *making* it compatible or suggestion for a direction to go since I would like to retain the stock controls with the new wheel?

It specifically shows the hub, "B6OE boss kit", as fitting original equipment only.

My wheel came with the "upgraded center cap & horn control option" minus turn signal, which I simply didn't use.

The "boss" fit my non-adjustable BN2 (it has the late BN1 non-adjustable steering gear) perfectly. The original turn signal/horn fit perfectly & works well. See attached pic.

Hi Randall,
I got my Mota Lita wheel for my '54 BN1 from The Healey Factory (Melbourne, Australia) several years ago. They supplied a special "short" hub. They said that the hub supplied by Mota Lita was too long and brought the wheel out closer to the driver's chest.
I had no trouble using the original control boss.

This wheel/hub was on my car when I bought it in 1978, so I can't say for sure what it took to make it work, but it looks as though only a small amount of material was removed to make way for the cancelling arm.

I don't seem to have a picture with the trafficator control head fitted, but it is and it works fine.
