Most Useless Auto Gauge ... Evah!

It's like living in the future, in the past!

As I understand and this is not written in stone, all the newer cars with a computerized system, initially monitors the drivers driving habits and sets it self to those conditions. My Chevy pickup, which I replaced the throttle body, the computer displayed on a dealer machine, it will reset it's self after monitoring my driving habits. Crazy as it sounds, the fuel economy improved after about a couple fill ups, or 60 gallons of fuel. :encouragement: PJ

Almost from the beginning on auto computers. Used to get these in the shop all the time in the early and mid 80's.
Guy would bring it in, say it doesn't run right.
What do you mean?
Jerks off the line, jerks between shifts....odd things.
Got a teenage son driver?
Yes.
Did he just borrow the car.
Yes...how did you know?

Well, we'll check it out, but a tank or two and it will re-learn how YOU drive, and not stonewall/jackrabbit, either.
