If I add the TR6 and TR8 projects together, I'm getting close.....
 
I wonder what the basis is for the asking price? Sure, the car has racing provenence, but $275K is mighty high for a Triumph.

I'm gonna guess that the car will go for a LOT less than $275K. A <span style="font-size: 17pt">LOT</span> less. :lol:
 
Don't be surprised if it goes high once it gets to Barrett Jackson or Mecum Auctions.

Provenience is a BIG thing, perhaps more for pure collectors than for "hobbyist drivers". By comparison, Classic Motorsports recently put their restored Group 44 GT6 up for sale for about $115K, so while $275K may be a bit high for this it's certainly not out of the range for those interested in buying these types of cars.

And good on them too; I personally like to drive but I equally enjoy ogling a well preserved or restored historic car from the past.
 
Given this car's history of strong finishes at Road America and a number of other tracks in '79-'80, it is one of the most recognized SCCA and IMSA cars of that era. Someone will step up and drop that kind of coin on it.
