Most annoying songs

Thinking back over your yoot (as Vinny would say), are there any songs you remember that, while they sounded good the first few times you heard them, became annoying because you just heard them too often? I'll start with two of my all time favorite annoying songs:
1. Afternoon Delight - Starland Vocal Band
2. You Light Up My Life - Debby Boone.

This is a good contender except I never liked it.

Funny story... bear with me.
Before you go "on bag" for a 4 hour dive on a LAR 5 rebreather, you have to exhale all the air in your lungs and then open a valve, then breath in, exhale, blah, blah, blah... moral of the story... once you do it, you can't remove the mouth piece for 4 hours usually... This led to tons of entertainment at my expense, since the dives were always in cold, mirky water, at night, you were just left to your thoughts...
Before going on bag, I would start the chorus to "spoon man" or an annoying TV commercial like "munchie mun chie chie, oh soo soft and cuddly"... never failed, several hours into a dive, you'd hear your swim buddy either humming the annoying song or looking at you like he wanted to stab you.

Here's one that makes me want to peel my skin of with plyers when I hear it.

If you ever watch the bad movie PCU, the students lock the faculty in a room where they were having a party and set the music to loop "Afternoon Delight" for hours.
"Message in a bottle" by the Police. Drives me crazy....
I tend to cringe at anything "poppy" or repetitive. I am a lyrics person, so if the lyrics are dumb, repetitive, or unintelligible I don't tend to care much. "oooh oooh baby baby I love you" sums up abut 60% of the pop chart (add a southern drawl, tailgates and tractors and now its 60% of the country pop charts).
That's the main reason I don't care for Springsteen. I can't understand a thing he says and if I find the lyrics somewhere he's not usually saying anything very deep. Especially the only ones of his they ever play on the radio. Dylan is up there for people I can't understand, but he wrote some amazing songs. Steve Earle is the same.

I'm trying my best not to even think about this.

I've only experienced just one song that I just can't tolerate and I'm not sure why as it is considered one of this band's greatest works - Light My Fire by the Doors. Please no rotten tomatoes or cabbages or stones! I don't know what it is but when this song comes on the radio, I HAVE to turn it off. Fingernails on a chalkboard sound better to me. Other songs are annoying as listed above but for me I'd rather listen to ball bearings in a blender than that song! 🀯

This is fun. Here's another that I have to turn off when it comes on!

Anything by the Gibb brothers.

Baby Shark!

blech gag choke ...

Anything by the Gibb brothers.
Really? Wow, I also love BeeGees - In my humble opinion they have some of the best harmonizing on the planet. There are some of their stuff I don't care for (Saturday Night Fever being one).

Anything by the Gibb brothers.
I'm with Basil on this one - some of my favorite songs. OTOH speaking of next to seasons in the son - maybe my least favourite song
