Hey folks. Just wondering if anyone has had issues with MOSS not responding to questions re. parts? I emailed them about 4-5 days ago in connection with seals etc for my factory hard top and whether or not certain parts were interchangeable. I guess they just want me to buy, then discover they are not the appropriate parts?

Yes, I just had a problem with them. Took several weeks for a response that I didn’t like. I purchased from another vendor and moved on.

You might call British Car Specialists, or Healey Surgeons. Both have a lot of experience using the parts they sell.

To all replies; I actually received a call back from a MOSS tech yesterday in connection with my hard top seals. He seemed to think that the rubber header rail seal for the convertible top will fit the front and the door seal part should fit the window opening. We'll see said the blind man. Will try Rimmer and Macgreagor just for S&G!. I also suggested that they may want to find a factory hardtop to test fit then let potential cuatomers know about it....

Very nice guy who makes quality parts! Contact them. PJ

Tech dept is snowed under, try calling.

Hit and miss.... a lot of the time the 'expert tech' (telephonic) help is really clueless and simply reads back to you what the catalogue or on line parts site says. They really have no expertise in my opinion of late and I've been on the phone quite a bit lately. The experts have sent me the same wrong part twice.

Sad that I emailed Rimmer in the UK and they had the dedicated parts for the factory hardtop, but the cost of the taxes and duties didn't justify the order. Perhaps Moss should contact them for assistance? Also left a VM at Macgreagor on Friday...no response.. SIGH!!

MacGregor is a lovely guy and really knows his stuff but his response time can definitely be err erratic.

Make sure when looking at Rimmer. If you add their low prices (because of favorable exchange rate) and add in shipping most of the time you will still come out cheaper than Moss in particular. Look at the totals including shipping from say Moss. Shipping times are good. Bruce
