We are finishing a restoration of a 1964 BJ8 Phase II. We already have purchased the Norman Nock fan shroud that goes inside the radiator around the fan. There is already a thread on its effectiveness which is suppose to help cooling. Our car is missing the OEM air deflector that goes on the front side of the radiator. Moss part number 806-340. We have been told this does not do much but was installed as new.
Question if have the Nock shroud and a 6 blade fan is this necessary other than for OEM appearance? Comments please.
Thanks

Even though you will be using a shroud at the rear of the radiator, you want to keep these front deflectors to direct cool air through the front of the radiator and not be directed around the sides of the radiator.
