Talked to a Moss tech yesterday and found out that they have the new Triplex windshields in stock. $ 249.95 ea. + $ 25.00 shipping. They have two models. One for cars up to 1972 and one for 1972 and later. I would be curious as to the difference between the two. Might be the notch in the bottom corners, I don't know.

Good thing on my part is, my insurance co. will pay for all of it.

Non tinted on both Steve. As of right now they are only making the clear glass. One glass goes up to 72. The other is from 72 to 80. As I said in the first post, I have no idea the difference between the two. I thought the frames were the same, but I guess their not.

The new Triplex windshield came the other day. Since my sons and their families are here visiting, I haven't had a chance to get it installed. But I did pull it out of the box and it appears to be slightly thicker. I didn't measure it, so that might be just my imagination. The edge of the glass is perfectly smooth and there are no grinding marks on the glass edge to shape it as was the case of the last glass I installed. Will keep you posted on how it fits. PJ

The one I fitted to our B occupied a space in the livingroom for years before I installed it. Got it from Special Interest Car Parts when they shut down. It was the only one they had left, and it is tinted. I figured they'd be kinda rare by the time I needed one.

I sure miss those guys...

For some reason Doc, their not making the tinted ones, only clear. I guess if they get enough demand for the tinted glass, they might make them also. I'm assuming your glass was/is a tinted Triplex. If that's the case, I guess it's pretty rare. Don't know when I'll get back to work on this thing. Thanksgiving coming, then Christmas, all big time events here. We have over 30 people at the table for Thanksgiving dinner. Soooo, my projects usually get put on the back burner until after New Years!
