To avoid blacklisting, would it be kosher to send the info about the bad shop on private messages to anyone in that area that may be interested?
Obviously I am not in New England, so it shouldn't make any difference to me, but the folks local to the shop should be aware.

Dan, I do not feel that it is appropriate for me to make any reference to anyone in this situation. I do not know enough about what happened to be able to do so and I would rather help Kathy get what she needs than put blame somewhere that I cannot personally backup. I don't mean for this to be a flippant answer, but I simply don't know enough to do so and it is far better for that type of information to come from the first party affected, not someone who read a story and is trying to just help a fellow hobbyist out of a bad situation.

I did get another email from Kathy today and she is working with a trusted TR7-8 person in her area to go over the car and document what will be needed, both by list and with pictures. They are hoping to have this completed by week's end, so hopefully we can help her out once we know what is needed.

I believe Kathleen is on my side of the coast as well, though I'm in the Northern part of NC which I believe is quite a ways away. Please if someone puts together a wrench session let me know. It's a six hour drive I believe, but I'll block the time, gather up the tools, and head that way if a wrenching session is scheduled. I'd love to help out, and am pretty good with both body work and mechanical work, having restored cars for most of my life.

Welcome aboard David. Sorry to say no one has heard from Kathy in a couple of months. I parted out a TR7 and set aside a truck load of parts for her. Kind of figured in my mind that Carlisle was the most likely time to hand over those parts, but that doesn't look like it is going to happen. Last time I talked to her, she said to look for a follow up story in the next issue from Moss Motors.
