Great...don't know anything about it...bought it on a whim off ebay...getting new top on it right now....runs pretty good but no brakes...&, has brand new tranny in it that's never had driveshaft hooked up...
...one wheel locked up & master cylinder in floor shot...where can I find brake parts? &, how do I convert it to wire wheels?

Hey, guys...I'm usually over on the MG forum but since I also have a Morris Minor I wondered if this is a good place to ask questions about the little car? Other than it, the closest thing I have to a Mini is an MG 1100 2-door Sports Sedan...

There are many UK specialists who can supply brake parts, and kits for the Master cylinder are easily found. I suggest that you do a search for UK Morris Minor Specialist and postage of a kit would be relatively inexpensive. You will find (unless a PO has already done this) that the master cylinder mounting bolts won't come out as they foul the front torsion bar, you can lever the bar to ease them out. Just replace them from the other side when you do. Morris's obviously fitted the MC before the suspension.
The route to fitting wire wheels, I would think is to look at AH Sprite or MG Midget parts, they and the Minor share many common parts and give a good scope for interchange. My wife's Morris has MG Midget front discs fitted, for example.

Piman....thanks...thought Midget was the way to go...have a complete Midget wire suspension/disc brake setup I thought I could use....&, I was hoping to find somebody here in the US who handles Morris parts....interesting about the masrter cylinder...I've been wondering why they put it in the floor!

I can only hazard a guess, although the Minor was very innovative for its day, pedals on cars of that era tended to hinge on the bottom, a throwback I suppose to the old rod brakes. Maybe Issigonis never though of hanging them from above. I certainly makes it hard work to remove the MC.
From memory I think some of those fastners are BSF size so your A\F spanners won't fit all bolts. just thought I'd cheer you up.

There is lots of support for the Morris Minor over here, there are enough of them around North America to have a Morris Minor club/registry, and I think parts are available fairly easy to acquire.
I'll see if I can get a website and/or contact on that club, I do know it exists.

WOW!! Thanks, guys.....upholstery shop just redid the wooden piece around rear of car to which top attaches...hopefully, they'll get around to top soon...gonna order a new master cylinder (or at least repair kit) so I can solve that problem when it returns from shop....I've also found a few sites supporting the little cars!
