Hello Lotus folks:I put a post under "other cars"but maybe this is a better place.I have a 4/4 which I bought in a basket. It has a crossflow Kent engine which I do not find very exciting.Am looking for a two litre Cosworth DOHC or simular engine.Any thoughts? US or UK suppliers? Thanks Martin

Hi Martin.. Check out this site..

https://www.race-cars.com/

If you haven't had a heart attack after looking at the prices, you may find what you want there.

Try to get a fresh one.. Mine was about $4000 to rebuild, and that was starting with a good one.

I'm almost thinking that a crossflow might be better for the street as you can get them pretty warm, and when they let go you can always get another one and reuse the parts that aren't broken!

Cheers, Mark

Oops.. just checked the site.. No BDA type motors there now, but usually there are 4 or 5 of them, just keep looking..
