Morgan 3-wheeler replica

I had the pleasure of seeing a "real" Morgan three-wheeler at a show last year. Very neat cars, and seeing one in person deepend my respect for them.

I've seen a few Morgan trikes, all when I lived in Ontario, I haven't heard of one here in Alberta...

And speaking of Morgan trike replica's, in Ontario there is a hand-built replica of a 1913 Morgan trike, not an exact replica but in the spirit of the earliest kind of Morgan... For one thing, his car is left-hand-drive...

Apologies for the crappy photos, it was the best I could get, and the only time I ever saw it

I had the rare experience of growing up with one in the early fifties. My dad was kinda ahead of his time with the LBC thing! I have always had a soft spot for them!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Cool pix! The red car in the third row from the bottom (-water-cooled-) looks just like my dads car posted above!! (except dads was blue and had swept wings insted of cycle-fenders!) /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thankyousign.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Morgans trikes....I *love* the silly things. They are such a pure definition of "form follows function".

My Dad got to drive one as a kid in Ireland in the late 1930s and he *still* talks about it! I think maybe his stories about that car was part of the catalyst for my interest in sports cars.
The replicas look neat, especially the Honda or Guzzi powered versions.

Here's pictures I took at the Lime Rock Vintage. The red one is Al Moss' Moggie (same car Steve shows in Calif). It has a J.A.P engine. The dark coloured one is a Ford powered version.
An interesting point is that most of the Mogs used in vintage racing these days use high-performance motorcycle tires.
