How is it possible to get more legroom in a (late)TR6?
Can I just redrill new mounting holes for the seat tracks?
After driving my Cortinas,I got into the TR,& felt cramped.Ideas?

My god, how long are your legs! The TR6 has more leg room than most LBC's (emphasize the "Little" in Little British Cars). You really cannot move the rails back without screwing up the way they are mounted, that is, the rails bolt into nuts that are welded to the floor pan. Unless you are willing to reweld new nuts to the bottom of the pan and that would be virtually impossible to do because of the frame rails underneath. You could just do without these nuts and put very large body washers underneath but you will still have to drill through the frame in some area and use very long bolts through the frame, if you understand what I mean. Or, buy a Silverado pickup.

If the seats are working correctly you should be able to adjust them almost back to the bulkhead the way they are mounted from the factory.
I'm 6'1" and have never had a problem fitting into a TR unless somthing was going on with the seats.

I guess I'll have to pull it out of the car
& make sure it goes back all of the way.
I recently had the seats reupolstered. Thanks
for the input.

Try moving the seat forward a little then leaning the seat back. This has the effect of gaining some leg room.
