Well folks, we are starting to draw very near to the time for the National event!! Things are sure getting exciting around here as we are cataloguingthe door prizes, unpacking the awards plaques, putting together registration packets/goodie bags, setting up photographers for the portrait pictures, the
panoramic shot and the DVD of the event...etc.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources State Parks people are falling over backwards for us with some terrific scenic locations for the autocross, car show, funkhana and pictures. The hotel is already working on our set-ups
and banquet meals, hospitality/party area, the "Bugeye in the Lobby" project and lots more.
Frank Clarici, and Peter Caldwell are getting their technical sessions ready and Glen Byrns is preparing his talk on his home built EFI bugeye. Jim Danielson and the Flatwater Austin Healey Club out of Lincoln Nebraska are dusting off their driving skills funkhana event and David Lieb, WIlly
Thompson and Rodger Grantham are cranking up the autocross! The Austin Healey Club of America, Kansas City Chapter is helping host the event!
The beautiful grille badges are ready to go to Missouri and the T-shirts will soon be cranked out. All in all it is shaping up to be one terrific gathering of Spridgeteers and Spridgets!!
In addition to individual portraits and Tony Lipari's panoramic picture against the backdrop of beautiful Lake of the Ozarks we're even going to do a DVD of the entire event by photographer Dale Delugosh!
*HERE"S THE PART TO HANG ON YOUR REFRIGERATOR* A couple of important deadlines are coming right up!! You have through this coming Friday (May 23rd) to get your reservation at the Headquarters hotel - Inn at Grand Glaize. If you've procrastinated, its time to drop it into gear and get
moving. Reserve your room now (1-800-348-4731) because after Friday the rooms rates sky rocket and rooms will become nearly impossible to find in
Osage Beach!! Be sure and tell them you are with the "Spridgets" group!
You also have only 2 weeks to get your registration done at $50 per car before the cost goes up to $75 per car!! You can register online using a credit card or your PayPal account or by printing out the registration form in .pdf format from the web site and mailing it in with your check. Just be sure it is postmarked no later than June 1st.
To register online, go to the website at: https://www.Sprite-MidgetClub.org and click on "registration" in the top right pull down menu. Fill out the form and follow the directions through PayPal. If you don't have a PayPal
account it do3esn't matter. Just follow the PayPal instructions to "Continue" without a PayPal account. Any brand of credit card works.
While you are on the website, check out the great regalia in the event "store" online! We've had orders for regalia from Japan, Europe, Australia and South America!! Spridgets Rule!!
As always, if you have any problems or questions.... Or if you want to volunteer to help at the event, you can call Jim Johnson at any time (620.408.6877) or email us at SpriteMidgetClub@gmail.com!!
Please pass the word to all your LBC club friends and anyone else you think might be interested! We don't want to leave anyone out of the fun!
Cheers!!
The entire "50 Years of Spridgets" committee!!
