MONZA!!

It wuz all over by 10AM EST, Don.

"Nobody" won

Doc. That John Player Special was my first ever Pinewood derby car (boy scouts) when I was about 10. I remember spending hours on it making wings and painting it to the correct scheme. Mounted a driver's helmet in it as well. During the weight distribution, we melted lead sinkers ona stove and poured them into holed drilled into the bottom. Lead leaked all over and melted a wheel. There went any chance I had at winning. I did however get a first place trophy for best design. Simpler times back when I was 10.

I been a Formula-1 junkie from age 12... Until just recently (advent of "cable TeeVee") we had no info until the AutoWeek hit the mailbox a week after the race. Now we get out the cappucino maker at 6AM and can scream at th' tube when things get exciting.

Once a year we'd know who won almost immediately: The Glen was an Annual Pilgrimage.
