Monza Exhaust for a 1500. Good Idea?

Hey guys. I was over my old mans the other day and he came out to look at the car and see where all my money has gone over the winter months. As he was looking it over, he went into his usual hate for any car that isnt American and found something to pick at. The exhaust muffler came up. My exhaust tip came off the muffler when I first got the car from the car cover wipping in the wind and eventually weakening it to come off (rust was at the neck). I didnt mind cause I thought it made the car look like it was smoking a cigarette sticking out so far. Anyway, I started looking at new exhausts and they are not to cheap. I really only need the muffler as the rest is good. I saw the black Monza exhaust with the 4 chrome tips they sell in the Moss catalog that is cheaper then a standard exhaust package. So now Im wondering if it will look stupid on the car and even be a good fit. The cars originality sure would change yet since its under the car it may not be to bad. Anyone put one of these on or have any thoughts on this?

I have it on my 78.

The chrome eventually starts rusting. At least if you drive it out in the weather like I do. Adds a low rumble to the sound, but it might be too loud.
If you like loud then it's for you.

I'm not a fan of the four exhaust look on a Midget. Take a look at the Monza muffler for the 1275, it should fit and will probably save you a bit more cash. It will be louder than original though, so beware it might be a bit much on long drives.

I have the Monza exhaust and I am not impressed with the build quality. When I redo my exhaust, which I will have to do sooner rather than later, I will just use a generic muffler with some custom bent pipes from my local muffler shop.

I think thats my plan. Im going to just get a muffler from the Auto store and plumb it in. I just cant see the Monza exhaust hanging under the back of the entire car.
