Well, the Army's done it to me again! Month of June, I'm gone..so I'll miss the V8 show! Darn....

your v8 won't be done by then anyway, too bad you'll miss MG 2006 though

Terrible to be popular, huh? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

You don't HAVE to have a V8 to go to the V8 meet...just an interest. I've been attending them since 1999 (I coordinated that one in Champaign, IL)...my V8 is still a "car in boxes" although I actually have all of the parts that I need!

Rick - you're absolutely corrct...the last one I attended, I took a stock MGB & was welcomed just like the V8's...its probably one of the best shows around! Put on & attended by some of the nicest folks.

I had planned on having my V8 done for British V8 in Townsend and MG2006 in Gatlinburg. Then the WIFE'S dog jumped on me in January 2005, rupting the distal biceps tendon of my right arm. I've only recently been able to even hold a wrench, let alone put any torque on one...so a LOT of my projects, including the V8 have been doing nothing but gather dust for over a year.

It's not going to be there this year, either.

<sigh>

One of these years, I'll pull up in a silver/purple B/GT that has a throaty rumble to it....I promise!

You & me, Rick - you & me!

I saw the engine, awsum carbs and manifold at any rate.

That sounds like it stinks. Seems from your site and posts that you have been putting a lot of time into your V8 car.
