Month of assembly

I notice that some parts for my 1985 XJ6 are different depending on the month of assembly. Some use August as a differential and some simply say "summer 1985 and above"...
I tried looking on the trim/paint label under the bonnet for the month of assembly but nothing is there other than the code for trim and paint.
Can I tell some other way...?

That information is normally on the drivers door with the VIN sticker.

Yep...! I looked everywhere on that plate except the top... It tells me that my 1985 Jag was manufactured in December of 1984. At least now I know what parts to order when there is a difference.

Thanks...

Let me know if there are any other bits and bobs I might have in my spares bin.
