A fellow Morris Minor owner is driving the old Route 66 in October. Are there any BCF Morris Minor or MG Midget owners along the way?

My shop partner has a sweet '60 convertible at home here in Oklahoma City. Let me know when he will be here and I'll be sure to have it at the shop instead of the TD that's there now..

They're doing a day by day video on YouTube beginning on October 2. I'll post the first YT link so anyone interested can follow along. And I'm sure they'd appreciate a hearty BCF welcome!

Thanks.

Do they have a web site?

I'll post the link after they've started the channel on October 2.

Never fear!

Me!!! Glad to learn of this!! Will spread the word among the Moggy owners I know here. A small but dedicated group of us.

I am to the south of the 66 route before St. Louis, Mo., if they would have problems.

If anyone else lives along old Route 66, Johnny and Jim would like you to contact them if interested in details of the October run (Chicago to Los Angeles).

PM me and I'll give you their email addresses.

I'm about an hour south of 66 just west of OKC. If they encounter any issues through that area just let me know.

Sadly I'm no where near Route 66. Would love to meet those folks.

Interesting observation today driving home from the shop. It turns out that Western Ave at least between my shop and home has some signs posted that I never noticed before, "Historic Route 66." We are 1-1/2 city block east of Western and I drive that way most every day.

I'm pretty sure this is the "original" route:

I've forwarded the initial post to the Gateway Healey Club prez to get it published in the St Louis All British monthly newsletter.
Got it, will post in both the St Louis Sports Car Council monthly newsletter (the September issue should be out mid-next week) and the St Louis Triumph Owners Association newsletter. If anyone's aware of or hears of details, such as expected date in St Louis (remain overnight?), the reason for their drive (raising funds for a charity?), please pass the info along ASAP. Thanks!
