Modifing the stock BJ8 air cleaners

Hello everyone,

I remember reading a tech tip somewhere on the internet about splitting open the stock air cleaners, removing the steel wool
filter element and installing a modern air filter material that is able to be removed , cleaned, and reused. After the modification was done, the top half can then be removed anytime from the bottom half via a few fasteners or screws. I am interested in doing this but cannot seem to find the article in any of my bookmarks.

Does anyone have this article bookmarked ?

Thanks,
Ed
