Just fine sir. Been busy and having a blast racing in LeMons. Up to three cars and looking at building Tom's SD1 for next year. Sadly, all this excitement has meant less time to dedicate to the 250 so it only comes out once a month. Lucky for me, the "barn find/survivor" look is currently en vogue these days and people keep telling me not to restore it. Umm, you want me to NOT slave over this car? Ok. One of these winters when the vendors have their interior sales I'll buy the whole mess and at least do the interior. It's tough to get all the bits for Shadow Blue.

Since you travel in those circles a lot more than me, you might keep in mind that I have the soup to nuts manifold/strombergs/linkages/air cleaner for a stock TR8 sitting in a box I'd love to place with a new owner.

That black car looks very nice. Sad (but not surprising to me) that it doesn't bring more money than that.

I used to have that problem with my TR3A; turned out the DMV had a different VIN in their records than my insurance company did. No idea how that happened, but it was a lot different not just 1 or 2 digits. After I took the car to the DMV and had them update their records, the problem went away.

Hmm, I keep squinting at the Hagerty card and the DMV registration trying to figure out if one has the "O" in LO as a zero instead of an "O" but I can't tell.

This entire thread has become surreal -- finding cars for a poster who has disappeared after asking one question -- a tale of two Riches (either mistaken identity or switched at birth) -- the love-hate relationship many Californians have with their (great) state.

Makes a nice change though from 'What oil?' and 'Beware of Fram filters!'.

The California Eco- Police found him and they have sent him to Gitmo
