After seeing some of you post about them here, it was cool to see the stories in this month's Healey Marque about the modified Healeys. I can only imagine the time and $ spent on those projects. Great work and great reporting. The photos were terrific as well. While my own car was restore to "nearly" original specifications, I can really appreciate a well engineered modified car.

Agreed, Bill. I always enjoy seeing new things I hadn't noticed before in Steve Thomton's (Healey Passion) car and Del Border's build was great as well. Del has been a longtime AHCA member and has been winning autocross events for years. Nice choice to keep his car in brushed aluminum.

Here's a nicely done Nasty Boy in polished aluminum:

BTW, since I've noticed the unseen hand of Editor Reid putting in a plug for the Healey Marque, kudos to him for featuring diverse editorial material. Always seems to be a good spread between history, concours cars, social events, Sprites, big Healeys and modified ones.

Is that Sheldon Cooper looking at the interior?

Re: Modified Healeys featured in the Healey Marque

Sorry for the late entry on the subject. Regarding Legal Bill's comment (question) about "time" invested. I documented personally over 3,000 hours of my time in my Works Rally tribute.... that's my time, not the time spent by my body guy, interior, etc.... just my time. At that rate, I won't be doing many more of these :highly_amused:....

Check out Ken Deringer's modified that is featured in the new issue of Healey Marque that arrived today. Amazing. Stunning.
