I normally do not like modified bugs, but both are being done beautifully. I am always envious of restorers that can work metal like that. It would be fun to see how they drive.

I'm more of a purist, but if you're going to modify a bugeye, it's nice to see it done by someone with BOTH skill and taste. Too often the latter is missing.

Hey Rick, Don't forget me and the "Best Bling" Spridget!

I love the LeMans model. I have a fiberglass tonneau cover for the Spridget which will someday incorporate a driver's head fairing (sp?) thus adding more bling. There is an issue with the roll bars, but perhaps I'll work that out by the time of the next get-together so I can retain my "Bling" title.

Well that's the fun part of these cars. We can modify them to suit our own personalities and needs. Not so expensive or rare that we're commiting sacrilege. Now all I need Rick to do is convert to a forward tilt bonnet and his car will be just like Bugsy my '68. Now this is the car I'd like Bugsy to aspire to. The Mite. I just may add a set of stripes.

Both are pretty cool in their own ways. I do agree that a lot of cars get modified and hacked by tasteless and talentless persons.
It is nice that these cars aren't so collectable that its considered sacrilege to modify things.
Mine will be modified when I am done, but mostly in ways to clean up the lines. I plan on shaving and filling the beads on the fenders (mainly because they arent in the best shape), deleting wipers and welding up the holes, and doing the same on any holes that won't ever get used such as the ones for the top.

Proving once again....beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I'd call my Frog modified but beside those 3....it's a stocker.
Still a fan of the ol A-Series but I get where they are going
and it looks like a lot of fun.

Ya, the muffler is bad, but it looks temp, as in the pics it still had no dash.
