Modern Dash Appliques

In a different vein from our classic cars, if you please: my wife is considering a Honda Pilot as her next car. It appears to be a good vehicle w/one exception- the interior is very severe in both color & texture. Some wood or fake wood appliques would make it more inhabitable. Has anyone out there have some experience as to the quality of the numerous suppliers on the market? We keep our vehicles 6-8 years; I don't want to put appliques on that crack, fade, discolor, fall off, etc. after a few summers of the sun firing up the cabin. Any comments?

If its wood, Murphy's Oil seems to work well.

welcome 19sprite65, In my opinion the plastic wood simulantes look cheap and are over priced.
