What is the meaning of the MM designation on the 57 BN4 100-6's? I've heard various explanations, but don't really understand.

The 1957 BN4 Austin-Healey is only 6-cylinder model eligible for the modern Mille Miglia as well. It's on the bucket list.....

And just for the record, the little "MM" on the grille badge is something that Doug concocted from two of the "M" badges intended for the 100M. There was never an original grille badge with the "MM".

But Doug did a dang nice job with his poetic license!

I have a copy of a Road & Track road test where the 100/6 is referred too as a Mille Miglia. I believe that designation was only used in the United States and indicates the later engine with six inlet ports.
