Ah, baseball! {YAWN!!} Think I'll go watch paint dry instead, I need entertaining.

Now, Steve, that just ain't cricket!

Cricket...any game that lasts several days is too long, thank you very much.

Being Chicagoan, I'm used to not being able to get tickets to baseball games very easily. Imagine my shock when I visited Los Angeles and we were able to get box seats down in San Diego, for a Padres/Dodgers match. On two day's notice.

What's wrong with those people?!?!?!?

The Padres?? :jester:

Stuart.

I miss having the Akron-Canton Indians. When I was growing up, we used to be able to get box seats at Thurman Munson Stadium for $10 a piece. Here in Atlanta, $10 just gets you the cheapest seat available, and it doesn't even cover your parking fee.

I love having CocaCola Park opening this year here. It is 15 minutes from my garage to the parking lot, great seats are $7.50 or $9.00, and most games I can get tickets a day or two before the game and print them out on my computer. But the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs have sold out a number of games as well with free fireworks on Friday Nights, and this week Dice-K pitched his first minor league game ever at the stadium. I probably will get to their games at least 10 times this season, and might not even bother going to Citizens Bank Park for the Phillies all season.

Hey Dave, I was just up your way last week:

Lehigh Univ. Stabler Arena:

Hey Dave, that would probably be a 5 minute drive if you weren't driving an LBC! LOL Ok, just kidding!

Hey, I wish we had a team. I'm from Pittsburgh. We have a really nice ballfield though!

<span style="color: #FF0000"> </span> <span style="font-size: 17pt"> </span> GO RED SOX!

<tongue FIRMLY planted in cheek>

It seems to mostly be a game of grab-a.. played by grown men with names like Tommy, Bobby, Jimmy, Jackie, etc. With moments of scratching private bits and spitting tossed in...

Used to have an even better field...full of history (Honus Wagner, etc. etc.) Right by Panther Hollow, but they tore that one down!!!!

Aerog,
What event at Lehigh? When I went there we did not yet Stabler Arena. I do have season tickets for Lehigh Football, and the Hellertown British Car Gathering took us right by the Goodman Campus.

It was a high school graduation. I guess they needed the extra seats for the families.

I'll be at the game on Saturday. I'll cheer extra load for you Mark.

Contrasted with "football" which seems to be played by grossly overweight grown men that excel in making loud grunting noises and running into each other with their heads. After each head-butting session they always get together to carefully discuss how they're going to make more grunting noises and more head-buttings.

Yawn.
