MKIII midget body teim - how fastened?

On an MKIII midget, how is the chrome body trim that runs across the fenders and doors attached? Are there holes throughout those panels for mounting? If so, how many and how large?

Thanks!

Look in the Moss catalog AH Sprite/MG Midget Restoration Parts & Accessories/Body Trim & Fittings/Accents & Trim/Body Trim & Fittings/items 31,32,33,34,35,36, and others. Yes there are 1/8" holes with formed sheet metal clips pop rivited into them. The trim than snaps over the clips. At one end of each trim there is a metal plate with a stud that is slid into the trim. The stud goes through the body sheet metal and a lock washer and nut are placed on the stud and tightened. Thanks! Hmmm, I have a line on basically a whole front clip to a MKIII midget. I plan on doing a resto on my Sprite in a year or so, and I'll need these pieces. I could weld in the trim mount holes I suppose.

You may want to check on the parking light placement on the MkIII- the lights moved up about 1" or so in about 1971, if that matters to you.

Nope, not at all. I have a '68 Sprite and the Midget is a '67. Should be a direct fit, correct?
