MK1 Midget [948] water leak

I'm restoring a 1961 Mk1 MG Midget with an original 948cc engine, I've just got it started and I have noticed that water is leaking from 2 of the head bolts. I've replaced the head gasket but that has made no difference. I've noticed that the bolt holes go right through into the water jacket.

Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

Been there! I'm now using Permatex High Temperature Thread Sealant (Item #59214 on the tube) on all head studs that are open to the coolant system. Works great on all my stock and race motors.
