MK IX Differential Ratio

Can anyone tell me what the axle ratio is for the MK IX?

Is that stamped somewhere on the Housing?

Was the MK IX a limited slip differential or like the earlier models?

The automatic transmission rear axle ratio is 4.27:1 . The overdrive IX (very rare) is 4.55:1. The 4.09:1 ratio as well as the Thornton Powr-lok differential were available 'special order only'.

The ring and pinion tooth count are found on a plate retained by a lower inspection cover bolt. Should it be a limited slip a tag with 'PL' will also be attached.
