Mixing autobody products? My 2 Pence

I see allot of people trying to stick with one auto body related product. I was one of them ;>) I started my career out on PPG in 1990. I used their DP40 sealer/Yellow high build primerK200 /DBU color and 2020 clear and I was in love and very happy!!!!! I was making happy customers left and right. Then Deq set in ,went to the new DP 40LF sealer it shrank like crazy several times, dried too slow and was costing me alot of money. So I had to find a sealer that worked like the DP40, PPG didn't have what I needed. Then I realized the K200 primer clogged my paper worse then other primers and was costing me more in time and money to stay with it. What seemed like the saddest moment for me was when the clear coat I cherished was phased out ,thank you DEQ! I tried their improved versions of the clear coat and other clear coats they offered but nothing was exactly like 2020.
When you are in my field you are trying to put out a bullet proof product, people expect you to know your product. They trust you and I trusted PPG with everything. I believe they scrambled to put out DEQ compatible products so fast that they weren't proven products. They had excellerators for the clear that would make the clear so brittle that it would explode off the tape when you were unmasking a car. No one painter can afford too or even switch product lines many times while working at a shop but this was my experience durring this time frame. Maybe the dupont guys had a different experience or even the guys shooting Martin Senyor?
Now I use a urethane primer that will stick to dirt if need be,and sands awsome , I use a couple of different sealers,PPG DBU color and a couple different clears. I have been mislead by paint reps, and seen how the product warranty's are never stood by the manufactures from various people's experiences. They always find a loop hole out like oh you didn't wait between this or that was too thick , you get the gist, true story ;>)
So I find what works for me,ask other guys what their success is and move really slow on trying new products that I have to stand behind.
