MISSING BRAKE FLUID

I have had a chronic problem in my 66'XKE for a couple of years. The rearmost brake fluid resevoir will stay topped up for months at a time, and then overnight almost drain dry. No fluid on floor or on brake components. I think it may be going in the vaccuum assist, but why only once in awhile and not constantly. Why only the rear resevoir? Is this where its going? I replaced the one-way check valve. I had rebuilt the master cylinder and servo a number of years ago. Last week I checked the fluid and it was up to full. Car set till today. Went to drive it and rear resevoir was empty. It had been full all winter while garaged.

Any ideas, Any suggestions? Is it the servo? I'm lazy- don't mind doing the fix, but I want to attack the right component.

Thanks,
Mike

HI Mike, It is most likely the brake booster. However it will let you know in time if it is , you will experience great clouds of white smoke from the exhaust. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif---Keoke
