I'm just curious, being a past, (many years ago), student of Greek and Roman architecture, what part does the Battle of Thermopylae have in the thoughts of Tony? Whom we all miss. Nothing intended, just curious. PJ

Haven't been there since about 70.
Need to go back the next time I'm in DC

Tony was a BIG fan of the 300. Both historically and the movie.
 
Ah,now that does explain it!!! I've been wondering the same thing as Paul.
Tony probably held those men up as examples when he was doing those training sessions with the Military. :thumbsup:

And, yes,he is missed.

I will - it's still in my Wife's pictures.
I felt that I needed to be alone while viewing his
final resting place.

Not his headstone, but I took these when I did the graveside service.

Still at the top of the list of honors I've been handed.

Took the blue line subway past Arlington today - RIP Colonel
 
Wasn't thinking about him, but as soon as I saw the topic there was a flood of emotion. Happy, sad, glad to have had the honor of knowing him. We never met in person, but I sure miss him.
