Mark Dousi of Toronto, Canada. Sent Miss Agatha a brand new old choke cable and knob and such. Arrived today and is installed. Dash is complete, all the good stuff.

One thing I had to correct during this instalation is that I had the bridge between the two carbs that holds the chokd cable up side down. Never would have known without a real honest to goodness Bugeye choke.

Only one part I am now missing for Miss Agatha that I can not buy new. The small bit that attaches the heater cable to the flapper lever. If anyone sees one of those I'm looking. Not hard mind you but looking.

Looks like next week will be a parts order to finish out the cockpit but for the door seals.

Still working on chromeing, can't seem to get folks in business to answer emails.

On the re-chroming issue, if you have not already tried this approach, I needed some re-chroming done on my Corvette. I stopped by the local Harley-Davidson shop and they eagerly put me in touch with their chroming service provider. Motorcycle enthusiasts are heavy into chroming, and they demand prompt, quality service. I was very pleased with the quality, turnaround time, and price.

SO... who did you use John? Was it somebody local, or did you mail the bits off?

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/iagree.gif The local Harley guys should do alright by you, Jack. You must have one nearby, since you used the Harley rear-view mirrors! Check them out! My Harley-owning friends love the BE and call it "the 4 wheel Hog" since it is "also a 1200 cc machine", hehe!! I also have a Harley chrome bullet flow-through muffler on my BE! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Trevor -

This was a few years back when I lived up in NE Ohio, but the company I used was just over the Ohio/PA state line, near Butler, PA. The company was Paul's Chrome. I actually found their website: https://www.paulschrome.com

You say that all you need is the attaching piece for the heater. The one piece I didn't know existed until just a month ago was the dash light switch. I wonder if anything else will come up?

Yep it is a little tube shaped peice that the choke cable wire goes in and has a screw to hold it.

If one does not turn up in the next year, hehe, I'm sure I can make something out of brass.
