Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

 Well deserved, too, from the pics I've seen. Congrats, Jack!

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Jack, maybe next year they'll send you the flier only with last year's dates on it. "Oops, sorry you missed it this year..." LoL

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Beautiful car!!!!!!

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Congratulations Jack. This must be starting to feel addictive.

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Nicely done, Jack, nicely done!

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Congratulations to Miss Agatha and her papa.
That's really quite an achievement.

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Way to go Jack!!!

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Jack, they will keep inviting you if you just offer to use the same trophy each year and up-date it by affixing new plaques!!

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Thanks guys. Other than my family it is you all that understand what we go through to bring one back from the dead that makes it worthwhile.

I am thankful for your good wishes.

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Jack, you & Miss A. are an inspiration.

I'm working on getting my little red Sprite together before August 2nd, so I can park it in the local show. It's just a little (and imperfect) MK2 Sprite, but I want to see what all the fun is about.

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Getting called up as "First Place Midgets and Bugeyes, Jack Laird and Miss Agatha, 1959 Austin Healey Sprite" is a real kick. But the folks I have meet, at show after show are the real kick.

When the big Healeys blow their horns when they go by sends a chill. You know you have been accepeted as one of the folks.

All in all Rick, it is worth the hard work and effort just because of the folks that show their appreciation, not to mention Miss Agatha as well.

She just adores the admeration after her reseraction 4 years ago and giving up hope of being on the road and smileing again.

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Definitely sounds like fun Jack, I don't have any aspirations to that level but just joining in and having a few people enjoy my car would be nice.

Today I'm going to see if I can get the brakes and clutch bled and then maybe start working on the bonnet from the MK1 Midget to replace that thing that's on her now. I suppose that after I have brakes and clutch I could put some gas in her and see if she goes... I guess I have to drive her for the first time someday.
Oh - have to bolt down those seats too.

I think August is a good target for having her put together. It would be nice to have her done for the ABFM at the end of July.

As I said Jack - you & Miss Agatha are an inspiration.

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Time to retire her from the show circuit & build another!!

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

As much hard work as you've put into her I'd say it's well deserved!

Re: Miss Agathas car show up-date

Thought is was a nice place.
