Busted Knuckles post on Basil's Jackie Evancho thread brought this to mind:

That was hilarious. I wonder if he ever realized that he didn't actually have a guitar in his hands?

More than likely the crowd didn't, either!

Misheard lyrics:

Bonnie Tyler singing "It's a hard egg" instead of "It's a heartache"

Elton John's Honky Cat.... "Living in the country, Peeing (rhymes with missing) in the stream" (Go on, listen to it, see if you agree)

Jimi Hendrix "Excuse me while I kiss this guy"

Any more?

Any more?

OK - you asked for it:

REM, Losing My Religion: "Let's pee in the corner, let's pee in the spotlight."

Creedence Clearwater, Bad Moon Rising: "There's a bathroom on the right."

Juice Newton, Angel of the Morning: "Just brush my teeth before you leave me."

Hymns: "Lead on, o kinky turtle"; "While Shepherds wash their socks by night"; "Gladly, the cross-eyed bear"

There's an entire web-page devoted to these. Great fun.

For years, when I'd listen to "Blinded by the Light" (Manfred Mann), I thought ghe verse "Reved up like a duce" was "Wrapped up like a douche".

...and until I read your post, that was what I thought the verse was too!

Funny thread. I never knew about any of this.

Same here. I can't understand ANY of that song! I have better luck with Joe Cocker.
It's kind of like "Enegada de Vita". It was originally supposed to be "In The Garden Of Eden" but he was too smashed to sing it right, it sounded good, so they just rolled with it. True story... Look it up
