minilites

15 inch wheels you will have a littel beter handeling but the ride will be stiffer. theres not as much sidewall in the tires to absorb as much impact. i like minilights but everyone seams to have them.

just want to get an opinion on those with b's. i'm looking into some minilite knock-offs from ebay.

You do know that they are Minilights on eBay and not genuine Minilites? Also any overall diameter change will alter speedometer reading.

Another heads-up here. Shipping on these things will cost you an arm and most of a leg, so factor those costs in when you figure out how much you want to spend on these things......they look great on an MGB though

when you figure 14" minilite replicas are $186 ea from Moss you could probably come out ahead even with the shipping, although Chris Roop will knock 20% off and it's expensive enough to get free shipping (I think)

you can compensate this with tires and it will be almost unoticable

thanks for the replies. yeah, i know they are minilights and not minilites. they do look nice though. i think a switch from steel to an alloy wheel will only benefit me. i did send an email to the guy selling in the uk about shipping charges. just waiting to hear from him. i'll give chris roop a ring too. his are minilites so that would be a plus.

regards,
eric

Correct. But I said any overall (tire with wheel) increase in diameter- so tires size must be considered.

was wondering if anyone knows of exact specs for wheel sizes that fit an mgb. offset of +19 versus +14 and 4" backspacing. will these make a noticeable difference? i guess i'm concerned with fender well rub. bolt patterns are 4 x 114.3 if i read correctly. can anyone direct me to sites that state allowable sizes?

regards,
eric
