Military Themed TV Shows

Forgot one that was only on for one season, Space above and beyond. It was Marines in Space.

Boy, it took a while before Sgt. Bilko showed up here, Gomer Pyle too!!!
Yea, and mentioned by the 30 year old none the less! Those shows had been off the air for years before I was born.
But I've still seen them, and they're better than most of the drivel on the networks now. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif

Not to be a stickler....OK, to be a stickler...but Gomer was mentioned in the opening post and the proper name of "Sargent Bilko" was actually "The Phil Silvers Show", and earlier, "You'll Never Get Rich". https://www.museum.tv/archives/etv/P/htmlP/philsilvers/philsilvers.htm I mentioned Phil Silvers a while ago, but I'm 36, so the point stands.

I agree that shows of the '50s through the '60s...at least the ones that survived to be shown in reruns, stand up better than most of today's offerings. There are, however, a few unique shows on, but I fear that some will always have to fight for their lives because for some reason people watch things (inexplicably) like "Two and a Half Men", "Still Standing", "George Lopez", or whatever formulaic, laugh track goo is on today.

It's a chicken and egg thing. Did I become a lawyer because I was an %&$*#& or did I become a %&$*#& after I became a lawyer. To tell the truth, I can't remember myself.

I give. I know I will never out-wit a lawyer. Especially when he's right.
hehehehe
