Has anyone used these on a Healey?

Accelerator pumps, unobstructed slide throttles and Weber power with better economy at less $$ than Webers.

This site shows a 20% improvement in power on a 2x HS4 MGB with the carbs being the only change.


I've requested Healey-specific info from them.
 
Triple HSR 42's here. They are pretty cool. The Healey manifolds need a wedge shape adaptor to make the HSRs more vertical. Also need to switch the float bowl for our fuel pumps vs a gravity feed.

A thread from 16 years ago. 1500 CFM anyone?

I tried them on my mini. The engine is a 1380 so twin Mikuni was an idea that some have tried. I could not get them adjusted at low rpm. The car did sound like a Harley Davidson when I opened it up!
 
From the site: "The black spacers, heat shield openings, and intake manifold openings were slightly enlarged to match the size of the 42 mm carbs, tapering from larger to smaller toward the engine. No other changes to the carb or engine were made. We were surprised by an increase of 13 HP, approx 22 %."

The manifold manifold changes probably helped to increase intake velocity in order to make use of the carbs' increased flowability (a not insignificant 'change'--thank you Mister Bernoulli). I heard/read somewhere that Geoff Healey thought BJ8s were 'over-carburetted;' that intake velocity was an issue.
