Mike are you a real for hire mechanic?

I need a tranny redone next summer I think.

I will be in Highlands for a month and I think since you are only 38 miles away we should get together maybe and I can even watch. That would be too neat.

Unit is completely disassembled and seems like it only needs new balk rings and reverse gear maybe.

Send me an email or PM please.

Jack;

4Dx8H a week, I do electrical engineering for a Chicago A&E for my previous employer Duke Energy, but nights and weekends, I'm in the shop doing engines, gearboxes, carbs, diffs and race car fabrication. Right now I'm at Road America helping a good friend race here at the SCCA National Championships. Got a few other customers running my race engines too. But, to answer your question, yes, I am available for transmission rebuilds. As you have mentioned, I am just about 30+ miles south of Highlands. My shop is just off SC28 a couple miles. Very easy to get to. If the timing is right, I could do a transmission RXR for anyone interested. Take a core and show how to tear it down and then use yours for the rebuild going up. Give me a holler next year regarding timing. A PM if you would like to discuss relative cost.

HPMOWOG; Thanks for the compliment!

Gundy: I'd would not mind doing a trany clinic. Maybe coordinate something through the FBCC for a "Tech-Day"???? What do you think? A shop in the SC area or maybe my shop. Mine's not fancy, but we can get a dozen people or so inside fairly easy.

Take care guys and send us some warmth. It's cold and windy up here!!!!

ohh, shiver.

Thanks, we will work on this. Think I will try to get the gears and such to you in plenty of time so you can see what is required work and price wise. Thanks again.
