Merry Christmas everybody! Mightymidget the car nut here and found your site and decided to lurk around. In a couple of Months I hope to have a Bugeye in my personal shop to take apart and put back in better fashion.

But really haven't been able to decide whether I will be an outcast since vehicle already has an American V-8 placed between the wings and plan on keeping it this way during a proper rebuild. Is this a purist site or are Misfits allowed

anyway this is about my 10th British car I have owned in the last 30 years and second Bugeye, My first car as a kid in 1968 was a midget that I properly rolled over in a swamp in first 30 days, but since then I have owned more midgets, sprites,a B. I even had a Healy 100-6 for a while. The one car I have always wanted and Have never owned is XKE with covered headlights. But there is always hope. never thought I would be able to find another Bugeye either. This time It will not be sold.

Welcome!
Show us pictures when you can.

car is in another area but when it arrives in next couple of months I will start photo history. until then I will be lurking

Hi There mightymidget,

We "Welcome" all people, Young and Old alike: Car Crazy or Not (Of course most (All) of us are "Car Crazy":

I myself had virtually every LBC you can think of except a "Big Healey":

I`ve had the pleasure of owning 4 E-Type Series I and II Jags. They are the epitome of a Brit Car! "No"; Make that; They are the epitome of any make Car!

Have Fun Here;

Regards,

Russ

Great, just didn't want to get trashed for not having a real British car, since it has an American V-8. I still want one more Midget before I am put in the rest home. Maybe I will luck up on a fairly preserved one someday

Hi, and welcome to the Forum. Be sure to post some pics of that V-8 in your Bugeye...

Hello and welcome! I also live in South Carolina- near Columbia. There are several very active British car clubs in our state so try and join one to have even more fun with your car. I have a Bugeye and a British car with a V-8 so don't let that put you off-they are all fun. Hope to see your car at a show sometime. Eric

Welcome Mighty Midget. I can assure you that these folks aren't going to make you an outcast just because your Spridget has a V8 in it, if they did I wouldn't have had nearly as much fun at Spridget 50 in my V6 powered Midget as I did. Looking forward to seeing photos of your car. Do you have any time estimates on when you'll be back on the road? The British V8 group is going to meet in Durham N.C. in June and your Spridget would fit right in. I hope to be there in my car, would love to have another Midget or Sprite as company amid all the MGBs and Triumphs.

I think delivery will be early March, but it has been derick for quite awhile, in other words it is rough. so it will go straight into the garage for a tear down , inspection, and redo. but it will be done as a presentable driver. not show car. I have a Mustang that I have done the same thing with and enjoy the car more that way, and I still do the shows with it. But don't go after the trophies

definately want to get to know people in my area, and go to some of the shows, is there a mailing list I can get on for the clubs with in 2 hours or should I just watch the events section of this forum.

Columbia is easiest drive, but Charleston is a great get away town. Durham is not out of the Question since I spend time in Fayetteville quite often. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Welcome. Some purists here, but a little bit of everything. All are welcome. I guess I would fall into the category of purist when it comes to my own car. I would like to keep it as original as possible, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy seeing modified cars. Post pictures.....
