Might be returning to Spridgets...

Hello all,

It has been a very long time since I've posted here, however, I thought I would post a quick "hello" to all the Spridget owners out there. I last owned my '65 Sprite in 2006 after I gave it to my Dad who was always reminiscing of his LBC ownership back in the early '70s. Well, fast forward after a few trips to Afghanistan and I might be receiving the little beastie back into my own garage. Uncle Sam's Army has seen it fit to post me in southern Arizona where they don't send people overseas so often since it pretty much looks like Afghanistan as it is. Anyhow, just thought I'd say "hello" and get my feet wet in the LBC arena once again. If the car doesn't come back my way perhaps I'll be looking around for something to fill the garage...

First off, welcome home and thank you for your service.

Spridgets do have a way of pulling you back in -- believe me, I know all too well. If your old car doesn't come back to you, there will be one out there for you.

Hi Drew,

Thanks for the kind words.

Fantastic looking Bugeye you picked up. I just took a quick look through Autotraderclassics.com and saw some astounding prices alongside Sprites of all years (not to mention the Big Healeys). Looks like prices have gone up substantially since my last foray.

While Spridgets are still inexpensive, they are no longer cheap. BEs are about twice the cost of square bodies, and square bodies are at or near 5 figures now. Luckily, parts are still inexpensive, especially compared to other "classics"
