Midland Wheels Anyone?

Midland wheels in the UK seem to have great prices on wheels and tires. Does anyone have experience with them? Also, what size tires are supposed to be on a Bugeye? They say 155/70/13. Neither Tirerack.com or Discount Tire carry that size, which means I may get both wheels and tires from them, if they are trustworthy and sell quality product.
 
I just bought 13" wheels from midland. Very good quality. Even sent extra center caps, lugs and valve stems. Would buy from them again. I dont know about the B/E but I am running 155/80/13 on the spit. Got Primewell tires from Tires Plus for about $30 per tire plus mounting etc. etc. Nice looking blackwall with a decent tread pattern.
 
155/80/13 is fine for a Bugeye.

And you don't have issues with rubbing? I have 165/80/13 now and very rarely, and at the right turn angle, get a touch of rub.
And can someone verify that the bugeye bolt pattern is 101.6mm
and that 13x5 is the best size. Communicating with the UK is a bit tough, so I should get all the questions answered here first
 
They are KN Minitors, same wheel Moss and VB sells, just offered at better price thru a UK vendor. It's a good wheel, quailty wise, not much to look at when compared with the VTOs and Pansports. here's my sales pitch for whatever its worth, wheels are not consumables like a brake pads or even tires, they are something you will have to live with for a long time, and the main reason most folks buy wheels is for the cosmetic looks of the wheel, so $100-200 savings doesn't mean much in the long haul when you see guys with better looking wheels at events. If getting the cheapest alloy wheels you can buy is your goal, then Midland is the place, however if getting a best looking wheels is your goal, then call me :smile: Our goal has never to be the cheapest, just the best!

Miss Agatha has never rubbed a tire. ever.
 
I am thinking the silver with polished lip would look nice. I might have to put this purchase off a bit, I have a line on some seats for the car, and that's a higher priority.
 
The cheap ones don't have polished lips. Either hap's or Panansports if you go that route.
