Anyone know the drain plug size for the oil pan on a 1500 midg? Need a plug, hoping to source it locally quicker than the usual sources.....

sorry - another reason I need to get a gauge next time I'm out - But can't you just take it with you to check?

I'm guessing he lost it.

Mine is a standard pipe plug that looks like the picture below.

I'm pretty sure it's a 1/8" pipe plug (plumbing sizes are weird...it doesn't actually measure 1/8").
If it's not 1/8", it's 1/4".

You can probably buy two of these in Home Depot for about a dollar. I drilled the square head of mine for safety wire.

I have mine just not with me. It looks like a pipe plug but many times British stuff is parralell thread not tapered like the Home depot stuff. Want to try and fing a magnetic one that will fit that I can get by Friday is all. Moss has em but in CA. (Wrong Coast.) My crank is coming back and I washed my block down best I can but would like the magnetic plug to grab any other little particles from them thrust washers being installed backwards!
