Midget docking station???

Did you read the write-up? There isn't one MG part in it mentioned inn the writeup, but, looks like an MG boot lid and rear section grafted in, almost looks like MG doors, but nothing else. Has a Ford chassis, engine, rear axle, with a Pontiac Firebird steering column.

"The engine is a Ford 352 with an Edelbrock 1497 1175 carburetor, and I believe the engine has a better than stock camshaft.

The transmission is a 3 speed automatic, but I do not know the model and haven't found any numbers on it yet.
Chassis:The chassis frame may be from a Mercury or Lincoln, I cannot be 100% sure.
The differential is from a 1971 Mercury Monterey according to the numbers on it.
Grill is from a 1979 Mercury Cougar. The steering column is from a Firebird.
I have been told the front bumper is a Model A bumper, and the rear taillights are also Ford."

Pieced together from whatever was laying around the pasture, looks like.

Seems to have used the basic MG tub from the firewall back, including the windscreen and wipers, seats, top, etc. I've seen a few different sorts of customs done this way, I suppose that might give them a VIN that can be used.

Shame what happened to a perfectly innocent Midget.

Would have been interested but there is no continental kit so i'm out of the biding

Just stick one of Luigi's wheels on the back with a big lagging bolt and a flatwasher, nobody will know it ain't right.

True though a wagon wheel might look better

Oh. Now, isn't that special.

A Ford FE in a Midget. Wow. So a 427 will bolt right in. Just in case you wanna blow off those, um, purty fenders. :jester: I'm guessing the trans is an iron case Cruisomatic. That looks like a mid-60's intake from a truck.

The one on ebay is straight out of Mad Max

Heavens. It would seem like if you're gonna go to the trouble to make up a custom body, and have complete control over the appearance, you'd at least make it somewhat pretty! Those ebay monsters just don't make any visual sense.

Now, Dan Root's mod is really something. All the "lucky coincidences" in line matching show him to be the luckiest modder alive...or the most shrewd.

Dan Root is one very talented and skilled feller! :winner1: Now if I can just clean up the drool on my keyboard.

That could possibly be the most ugly car I have ever seen. And that's not even considering that they destroyed a Midget in the process.

I don't think I could own that even if I were a blind pimp.
